Our story begins with our founder and CEO, Samu Koskinen. One winter morning, he was taking his early morning walk along the Vantaa River he was surprised by the magical talking bear, Walter.

 

The bear challenged Samu to a wrestling match. If Walter won, he would make a meal of Samu. If Samu defeated Walter, the bear would hand over his secret smoked salmon recipe.

 

The day passed and darkness began to fall as the two wrestled for hours. Samu, with his great strength developed from many years as a lumberjack, finally overthrew Walter and stood victorious. The bear somberly handed over his recipe and the menu for Suomi was born!
